Donald Shields, V.M.D.
Dr. Shields graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1963, and established Bethayres Veterinary Hospital, P.C. in 1964. He attends veterinary seminars at least twice a year, and has undergone extensive training in orthopedic procedures in Davos, Switzerland. Even after 44 years, he still enjoys the practice of medicine for pet animals. He and his wife, Donna are active in feral cat welfare. Dr. Shields is an avid skiier, cyclist and tennis player.

Geza Incze, D.V.M.
Dr. Incze hails from the University of Veterinary Medicine of Timisoara, Romania. He received his degree in 1976, and joined Bethayres Veterinary Hospital, P.C. in 1983. He became an associate of the hospital in 1987, and a partner in August 2000. Dr. Incze has intense, hand-on training in fracture management from Guleph University in Canada, and continues to attend veterinary seminars regularly to keep abreast of the latest developments in the field. In addition to orthopedics, he has a special interest in avian and exotic animal medicine. In his spare time he enjoys gardening and wood working. He is the proud parent of 2 dogs Maggie and Clyde, Hope the kitten, and a love bird named Monti.

Joanne Depue, Veterinary Technician
Joanne joined Bethayres in June of 1979 and is still hanging strong with us 27 years later! She received her associates degree in Veterinary Medical Technology from Harcum College. Joanne also has a degree in performance and education which she received in 1988. She owns and teaches at her dance studio in North Wales, Pa. Joanne lives with her husband, 2 daughters, 2 cats, Whiskers and Cinnamon and her dog, Pepsi.

Mary Quinto, Veterinary Technician
After graduating from Harcum College's Veterinary Technician program, Mary joined the Bethayres Veterinary team in 1984. She worked fulltime until 2001, when her son Joseph was born. She returned to Bethayres part-time in the summer of 2006. It is great to see long-time clients and furry friends again, as well as meeting new ones. Mary enjoys family time with her husband, Joe, and son such as camping, hiking and biking. Other family members include a newly adopted dog, Grady and a guinea pig, Greta and assorted chickens.

Brenda Labbe, Veterinary Technician
Brenda joined Bethayres in May of 2007 as a technician. She recently graduated from Manor College. She resides with her mom, twin sister, and her 14 year old dog, Amica. She hope to extend her knowledge by being a part of the Bethayres family.

Barbara Solliday, Receptionist
Barbara joined Bethayres on May 1st, 1967 as a Receptionist. She is the veteran of our group with 39 years of service! She loves to travel and has been to many places. Barbara also enjoys relaxing with a good book. Barbara has 1 daughter who is married. She lives with her husband, a rabbit named bun-bun, a Love Bird named Ziggy, a dog Indy and a hamster.

Sharon Malkiel, Receptionist
Sharon has been a veterinary receptionist since 1990 and with the Bethayres team since August of 1996. She is a grandmother to seven beautiful grandchildren. Her hobbies include movies, reading and exercise. She has 2 yellow Labs, Maggie and Casey that keep her very busy!

Kathy Allridge, Receptionist
Kathy joined Bethayres in 2006 as a receptionist after 33 years in the financial services field. She is enjoying the career change enormously - wags and kisses are a welcome perk! Kathy's son and daughter are grown and on their own. Lucy the cat tolerates sharing her home with Kathy and Oreo, a Border Collie. Kathy is camera shy, but would like to meet you in person.

Michelle Hinton, Veterinary Assistant
Michelle joined Bethayres in September of 2005 as a veterinary/surgical assistant. She is the proud parent of a son Marc and a Cavalier/Chin puppy, Panda. She intends to go to Manor College for Dental Hygiene in the future, but enjoys her current position at Bethayres helping and spending time with the animals.

Jennifer Fodor, Veterinary Assistant
Jen joined the Bethayres staff in September of 2006 as a veterinary/clinical assistant. She currently attends Temple University and hopes to persue a career in Nursing. She currently lives at home with her mom. They have 3 cats, Houdini, Rocky and Shadow and a new addition, Alaskan Malamute puppy named Maya. She loves animals and enjoys hanging out with friends and staying active.

Samantha Fritz, Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist
Sami joined Bethayres in August of 2007 as a veterinary assistant/receptionist. She is a volunteer scuba diver at Adventure Aquarium and participates in the Philadelphia Mummers. She lives at home with her Cavalier King Charles puppy, Harlee, Lady the Greyhound, Murphy the Beagle, Chipy - Joey - Roxie - and Bob the Cockatiels, Jovi the Rabbit, Babe the Turtle and many fish. She hopes to attend Manor College to become a Veterinary Technician so she can continue to help and work with animals.

Alyse Grecco, Veterinary Assistant
Alyse joined Bethayres in November of 2007 as a veterinary assistant. She is currently attending Community College of Philadelphia for Business Management. She lives at home with her parents, five cats and a dog. She absolutely loves animals! Some of her hobbies include reading, scrapbooking, photography and baking.
