CHECK-UP
Check-ups are an integral part of your pets health care, and are especially important for puppies, kittens, and geriatric pets. We urge our clients to observe their pets closely and to learn to recognize their normal behaviors and routines. In this way, owners may remark more quickly if something were to become amiss. Regular communication with your veterinarian further reinforces this process; and remember, there is no such thing as a "silly" question when it comes to health issues! |

PREVENTIVE MEDICINE
We know that it is much easier to prevent disease than to treat it. For this reason, vaccination programs, regular physical exams, and routine tests for parasites are encouraged. A large percentage of sick animals could have been spared suffering through adequate prevention. In addition to peace of mind, you will find that prevention costs are much lower than treatment costs! |

A large selection of prescription and over-the-counter products are stocked and available for our clients' convenience, including special dietary products. We gladly accommodate advance orders for pet food and refills on medication. |

Geriatric Medicine
When your pet reaches 8 years of age, we recommend that she/he be examined every six months. Diseases and conditions common to older age can be helped or at least stabilized and managed if diagnosed early. These conditions include kidney disease, liver disease, diabetes, and heart disease. Call your veterinarian at the first sign of any coughing, change in eating or drinking habits, or frequency of urination. |
